We started working with Legacy Martial Arts Consulting a little over a year ago, and it was truly a leap of faith. At the time, we were far from reaching our break-even point and far from having the number of students we needed. We were on the brink of desperation, with no clear idea of how to get people through the door.
We had full confidence in the quality of our work, built on 20 years of experience inherited from our mother school, which itself had over 30 years of tradition. But that alone wasn’t enough-what’s the point of having all that knowledge if no one walks through your doors to experience it?
Nick was upfront with us from the beginning. He told us he had very limited experience with Kung Fu and Tai Chi, but he was confident that his system worked for martial arts businesses, and he would do everything he could to help us.
And it did work. After just one year, we doubled our student numbers. We restructured how we generate and convert leads, made several changes to how we charge our fees, and established a more robust system focused on key pillars for long-term success: lead generation, income stability, student retention, and business quality.
But none of this happened automatically. It required a LOT-and I mean a LOT-of consistent, hard work. This is not a magic formula. It doesn’t change things overnight. It only works if you do the work and follow through on what your coach tells you to do. It would be absurd to pay for guidance and then ignore it. The only way to know if it works is to implement, gather feedback, and adjust as necessary.
We couldn’t have done this alone. And that brings me to what I believe is the most important aspect of all: accountability. Having a meeting with your coach EVERY WEEK creates the discipline you need to take action. It keeps you from being lazy, because you’ll have to sit down, talk with your coach, and explain what you did-and what results you got. And if you didn’t do something, you’ll need to explain why not. That regular check-in forces you to take ownership of your actions. You’re the one who needs to act every day if you want results.
So when you combine all these factors-knowledge, experience, process, accountability, and your own consistent effort-you begin to see real, sustainable results over time.
Without LEGACY, we would never be where we are today. And there’s still a long road ahead as we continue growing and building our success. What LEGACY provides is invaluable-and absolutely worth every penny. The investment pays for itself in the results you achieve.
